I’m Shivani—a mum of two and the founder of Roaming Crew. Our family is Asia-based, and over the years we’ve lived in different parts of the region, including two years in India and four years in Singapore, moving as our work has taken us around Asia.
Living in Asia—not just visiting—has given us a real, on-the-ground understanding of what family travel here is actually like. From healthcare and transport to food, hygiene, and finding truly family-friendly places to stay, we’ve experienced the everyday realities that parents care about most.

Why Roaming Crew Exists
When we started traveling across Asia with our kids, I quickly realized that most travel advice wasn’t designed for families like ours.
A lot of travel content focuses on fast-paced itineraries, packed sightseeing schedules, and experiences that don’t always work well with toddlers, naps, strollers, long travel days, or picky eaters.
As parents, we needed something different — slower, more practical, and built around real family needs.
That’s why I created Roaming Crew.
